Pull Up a Chair
Hi, I’m Amy—creator of Pages With Friends, a reflective book community for readers who believe stories are better when shared.

I’ve been a voracious reader since the age of five, when I decided I was tired of waiting for others to read to me.
That small but determined choice sparked a lifelong love of books—and a deep appreciation for the way stories shape how we see the world and one another.
A Life Rooted in Faith and Learning
I am a Christian, pastor, teacher, wife, and mother.
My life is grounded in faith, learning, and meaningful connection—values that naturally weave their way into both my reading life and my writing.

While my love for reading has never faded, my love for writing has been recently reignited.
Pages With Friends grew out of that renewed desire to reflect more deeply, write more intentionally, and invite others into thoughtful conversation around the stories that matter.
What I read (and Why)
My reading is rooted in faith and reflection, but it’s intentionally wide‑ranging. I explore a broad mix of genres, including:

-
Christian nonfiction and Bible study
-
Mysteries and thrillers
-
Historical fiction
-
Memoirs and biographies
-
And stories that simply refuse to be forgotten
I’m always searching for books that inform, challenge, and linger—stories that stay with us long after the final page.
How We Read Together
Pages With Friends moves at a thoughtful pace.

Longer reflections and reviews live here on the site—written slowly, read intentionally.

Shorter thoughts and mini reflections—the in‑between moments—are often shared on Instagram (see link below to follow).

Not every story needs a full review.
Some are best shared in the margins.
You’re always welcome to follow along wherever feels right.
Why Pages With Friends Exist
Pages With Friends is a space for fellow bootroverts—those of us who love books deeply and conversation thoughtfully.

This community exists to:
-
Share honest, reflective reviews
-
Talk about stories that stay with us
-
Discover new recommendations together
-
Read slowly, thoughtfully, and with intention
Here, reading isn’t about trends or algorithms—it’s about connection.
